Representatives from Sony Pictures Television, “Shark Tank” on ABC visited NASDAQ MarketSite in the heart of Times Square. In honor of the occasion, real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran; “infomercial” industry pioneer Kevin Harrington; technology innovator Robert Herjavec; fashion icon Daymond John; and financial expert Kevin O’Leary presided over the NASDAQ Closing Bell.

“Shark Tank,” from Sony Pictures Television, which returns to ABC with new episodes this Friday, January 8, gives budding entrepreneurs a chance to make their business dreams come true and make them successful and possibly wealthy people. But first, the entrepreneurs must convince a panel of five ruthless, multi-millionaire tycoons — known as Sharks — to part with their own hard-earned cash to give them the funding they need to jumpstart their breakthrough business concepts, products, properties and services. New episodes of Shark Tank begin airing on Friday, Jan. 8th @ 9pm on ABC (EST).

I LOVE the fact that you are representing so many like myself as you move through life and business. I don’t pay attention to the NASDAQ or STock Exchange, but can honestly say that you are the only black man that I’VE personally seen opening or closing a bell. I’m not saying your the first or only one to do it. I would imagine that it must happen many times a year..I just haven’t seen it or paid attention.
I really LOVE your website and the videos and blogs you share with us. I don’t have twitter yet, but I’m now going to open an account to get a better idea of what a real life role model and mogul has to say. I’m not a big tech person, but you seemed to have adapted it very well, so I think I will follow you lead and get more involved.
Thanks, Mr. John, for being such an inspiration to all of us dreamers. God Bless!

I’m so glad that Shark Tank is back on TV. It is one of our favorite shows and has been since it began. I look forward to hearing more about the people who you have partnered with on the show, especially with my friend, Gayla Bentley, and the Gayla Bentley line. Congratulations on ringing the Nasdaq bell!
